MC Sher Siddhant Chaturvedi To Get A *Bohot-Hard* Stand-Alone Movie With Zoya Akhtar

Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy proved to be one of the most successful films of 2019. However, the actor who left an impression and became a heartthrob overnight is Siddhant Chaturvedi, who played rapper MC Sher. Now, this 25-year-old actor who played Ranveer Singh’s mentor and best friend in the movie is a constant #ManCrush! And we were just blessed with the best news of the week because sources say that MC Sher is about to get a movie of his own. Be still, my heart!

“The film is entirely based on Siddhant’s character and traces MC Sher’s journey to becoming a hero. This will also give the makers a chance to delve deeper into hip hop culture and you can expect many engaging rap battles,” the source told a leading newspaper.

The actor hasn’t publicly announced any movie since his Bollywood debut, Gully Boy. At a recent talk show, Siddhant revealed how he met Zoya Akhtar for the first time, “It was at a party. I was dancing to a Govinda song, Tujhko Mirchi Lagi Toh Main Kya Karoon. I was full-on and she saw me. Then the DJ played Gallan Goodiyaan from Dil Dhadakne Do and I went up to her and danced with her. She was like, ‘Hey, who are you?’ And I said I was an actor on Inside Edge. She asked me to come and audition for Gully Boy.”

“She asked if I was from Mumbai and I said, ‘Haan, apun idhar se hi hai, because I knew all about Gully Boy. That was very spontaneous. When I came home, I was like, ‘Yaar, maine bol toh diya ki rapping karta hoon par aata nahi hai mujhe.‘ I have grown up on Kishore da, Mohammed Rafi, Kumar Sanu, Udit Narayan and Sonu. I said, ‘Theek hai, main poetry likhta hoon. Let’s club that with rhythm.’ Rhythm mein aaja, mere raja,” he added.

He also revealed a little something about his dating life and this Gully Boy isn’t single! The actor revealed that he is seeing someone and the two have taken their time to get to know each other. “We were friends first and then we started dating,” Siddhant said.
