A power couple, both of them self-made and at the top of their respective industries, multi-million endorsements, an enviable romantic life, and a crazy fandom to cheer them through it all, there can’t really be a downside to being Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, right? Well, seems like there indeed exists one: and that’s spending time with each other! In a recent interview with a media platform, Anushka and Virat shared why they have been cherishing this self-isolation period as it has given them ample time to spend with each other and “love each other in all ways and forms.”
Anushka shared during the interview that she and Virat have hardly gotten any quality time together since their wedding because they are always working. She adds, “People assume when I’m visiting Virat or when he is visiting me that it’s a holiday, but it’s really not. One person is always working.”
During the interview, Anushka also made a shocking revelation, “In fact, during the first six months of our marriage, we spent 21 days together. Yes, I actually calculated. So when I visit him overseas, it’s to squeeze in that one meal together. It’s a precious time for us,” she said. Boy, this would surely leave some of the newly married peeps really uncomfortable.
Speaking about their bond, Virat added, “We live each day loving one another. Our relationship has always been about love and only love. We feel like we have known each other for ages, not just a few years.”
That said, both Virat and Anushka do realise how privileged they are to be safe at home right now and the coronavirus crisis has made them more cognizant of how each day is a blessing in itself. “I’ve always been realistic, but now more than ever I am understanding the meaning of life,” added Anushka.
Well, clearly being Virat and Anushka is not always fun and games! But if given a chance, I’d still take my risks and totally swap my life with any of them, any time, any day!!!
