Virat and Anushka were in the West Indies all of last month and returned to India earlier this week. The Indian cricket team was touring the country while Anushka joined them for a vacation of her own.
The lovebirds tied the knot in a secret ceremony in Tuscany, Italy in 2017. When they released pictures of their dreamy wedding, the social media went berserk.
Recently, in an interview, Anushka opened up about how it feels to be married to Virat. She said, “I’m married to my best friend. I’m married to my confidant. I’m married to someone I love so dearly just because of the human being that he is. You talk about being misunderstood in life and then you meet someone, who understands you completely. Then the world doesn’t exist. So for him and me, when we’re together, the world ceases to exist. We find solace in one another because of the similarities we share as people. Even when we were dating each other, it was the same thing. I feel extremely happy because he’s my family.”
The two have been dating for more than 4 years before getting married! When Virat was recently asked by an American television sports reporter about his first meeting experience with Anushka, he referred to himself as a “nervous wreck” when he first laid eyes on her.
