If rumours are to be believed then Neha Kakkar is all set to tie the knot with alleged boyfriend Rohanpreet Singh super soon. Their social media feeds are full of posts hinting at it. And even though what looks like their wedding card is currently going viral on social media, we remain quite skeptical here. Also, we have solid reasons for that. Remember when all the rumours about Neha and Aditya Narayan’s wedding proved to be all bogus and a mere TRP stunt for Indian Idol? Yup, now you know!
That said, Neha and Rohanpreet surely are not the first couple in the TV history to keep fans hanging in anticipation. Care for a reminder? Here are five TV couples who had (still have) us really confused with their relationship status:
Gauahar Khan & Zaid Darbar
Gauahar Khan and her rumoured boyfriend Zaid Darbar added fuel to the fire last month after posting a video of them dancing on Punjabi track Diamond Da Challa. And while Zaid and Gauahar’s chemistry was totally on point in the video, it was how the former got on his knee and placed a ring on Gauahar’s finger got the rumour mills churning.
Now, he has further added to the confusion in a new interaction with a leading daily. In an interview that was all sorts of confusing where Zaid said that the two of them are “just family friends”, he also claimed that no one actually knows Gauahar better than him. But wait till you hear what Zaid had to say about Gauahar’s wedding.
Commenting on his alleged relationship with Gauahar and how he get tagged on all the fan accounts wherever a discussion on the actress in happening, he said, “They tag me in every video or picture and Rahul also where he asked her to meet him outside and she said ‘I am taken’. I’ve heard most probably she is getting married this year. I’ve heard that too again.” Can someone please make sense out of Zaid’s really confusing interview for us?
Neha Kakkar & Aditya Narayan
Before rumours of her engagement with Rohanpreet started doing rounds, Neha Kakkar’s name was linked with Aditya Narayan for months. In fact, it went to the extent where it was legit announced on Indian Idol that the two were getting married without anyone of them refuting it. However, it was revealed earlier this year by Aditya’s father Udit Narayan that all of these were mere rumours so as to catalyse the TRPs of the music reality show. This is exactly why we have trust issues!
Vishal Singh & Madhurima Tuli
This is probably the most confusing couple in the history of television. It was all sorts of messed up when ex-flames Madhurima Tuli and Vishal Aditya Singh decided to participate together in not one but two reality shows right after their break up. The couple’s passive-aggressive behaviour towards each other and then how quickly they used to forget it all for a romantic cuddle in the Bigg Boss house was just too confusing to make sense of. Also, right before creating havoc in the Bigg Boss 13 house, the two participated in Nach Baliye 9 with the hopes of mending their relationship.
However, things got really ugly when the two could not wait for even the cameras to stop rolling before engaging in a heated argument over a recent fight where Madhurima had apparently slapped Vishal! The topic enraged the former so much that she ended up smashing the mike right in front of the judges. To date, we are yet to decide what really was happening with their strange (not to forget) abusive relationship.
Sidharth Shukla And Rashami Desai
If tabloid rumours were to be believed then romance bloomed between Sidharth Shukla and Rashami Desai on the sets of Dil Se Dil Tak. However, things also turned pretty ugly on the sets of the same show as reports of ugly spats between the two started doing rounds and soon ended in the show going off-air despite the crackling chemistry shared by the two on-screen.
Shortly after that, the two entered the Bigg Boss 13 house where the topic kept resurfacing. The two kept digging things from the past and in one of the episodes, Sidharth also ended up talking about how she followed him to Goa. Rashami also didn’t keep mum and talked about how Sidharth had asked a common friend (Aarti Singh) to connect them over the phone and sort the differences. However, none of them ever talked about the relationship directly and just kept hinting at the possibility of it. That said, the emotional tension between the two led to a lot of speculations about a past romance.
Priyank Sharma & Divya Agarwal
So this couple was first seen on Splitsvilla season 10 where the love bloomed between the two despite them not being an “ideal match.” And while they didn’t win the show, the couple was seen together even after the show got over. Not too long after that Priyank entered the Bigg Boss 11 house and was seen openly flirting with both Benafsha Soonawalla and Hina Khan. He also talked about a “special” someone who was waiting for him in the US while Divya was openly supporting his journey outside.
Initially, she kept supporting Priyank and kept talking about how she trusts him but very soon turned bitter and said that she is feeling “cheated.” She even entered the Bigg Boss house during the family visit task, shamed Priyank for all the confusion he had been creating, and sort of broke up with him then and there. However, Priyank’s reaction to this was even weirder who kept wondering why the hell did Divya enter the house because according to him, they had already broken up by then. God knows what was true. However, in the mother of all reality TV twists, Divya was later seen romancing Benafsha’s ex Varun Sood on Ace of Space. The two are in a relationship now.
