From daily soaps to stand up comedy shows, TV actress Kamya Panjabi has done it all and she has been an absolute delight to watch on screen. The actress has also tried her luck in Bollywood and worked in movies like Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, Koi Mil Gaya and a few others. She was one of the most controversial contestants on Bigg Boss Season 7, but we will always remember her as the OG badass soap opera vamp.
Kamya has been dominating headlines lately ever since the news of her tying the knot with boyfriend Shalabh Dang, a Delhi-based healthcare professional started doing the rounds. Seven years after her divorce with ex-husband Bunty Negi, Kamya is all set to tie the knot next year.
We’re so happy that she’s giving a second chance to marriage.
She met Shalabh in February regarding some of her health issues, and they have been together since then.”I will be a married woman by this time next year. I contacted him in February after a friend told me to consult him about some health woes that I was facing. We started talking and in a month-and-a-half, he proposed,” Kamya told a media daily in a recent interview.
Well, don’t they say you just know it when it’s right!
Kamya admitted that she was a little apprehensive about tying the knot for the second time. The Naagin actress said, “Tying the knot again was a huge deal for me and I took my time to think about it. After a failed marriage and a few heartbreaks, I had almost turned down the idea of falling in love and getting married. But Shalabh has made me believe in love and the institution of marriage again.”
Kamya says she is smitten with Shalabh and feels like a teenager in love. “Tying the knot again was a huge deal for me and hence, I took my time to think about it. Following a failed marriage and a few heartbreaks, I had almost turned averse to the idea of tying the knot and falling in love. In fact, there came a point when main shaadi ke khilaaf ho gayi thi. But Shalabh has made me believe in love and the institution of marriage again. I am like a 16-year-old girl now, madly in love with him.”
Kamya is a single mother to nine-year-old daughter, Aara, and Shalabh too has a 10-year-old son, Ishan.
