In the year 2000, we entered into a new era of music and we could all collectively hear our parents nod their heads with disbelief when their favourite songs were butchered by Bollywood to make remixes. First, we all thought it was a fad and would end at some point. But, remixes have stood the test of time and now musicians have even started giving their own twist to new songs too.
While many we can still bear, some composers forget that there are some lines that just can’t be crossed. And here is a list of remixes that should have NEVER been made.
Some Remixes Should Be Banned Forever!
Old or new, we’ve gone through a list of latest bollywood songs that have been remixed and uff, this blasphemy should never have been made.
Lamberghini
The massively popular track by The Doorbeen, Lamborghini, just got remixed and I can’t even. The new one has been sung by Neha Kakkar, Jassie G, Meet Bros and Arvind K and while the tune remains the same, lyrics have been changed. It has been made especially for the film Jai Mummy Di and words can’t even describe how terribly we feel about it.

Aaj Jaane Ki Zid Na Karo
The original nazm was a soothing creation by Pakistani poet, Fayyaz Hashmi. It became the gorgeous ballad when it was sung by Farida Khanum in her melodious voice. However, the track was remixed for Karan Johar’s movie, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. All those feelings you get when you hear the original track disappear far away when you hear the new version.

Humma Song
Composed by the ace musician A. R. Rahman for the film Bombay, the song had a certain intoxication with its music and lyrics. Later it was used for the movie Ok Jaanu and while the song was still okay as soon as Badshaah’s rap comes, all the emotions that were building up just fade away.
Tamma Tamma
Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan danced to the hit song Tamma Tamma, but we feel that the original was a gazillion times better. Despite having stunning choreography and a better set, the new version fails to leave a lasting impact. There’s just too many beats and pop music inspiration that has been added and the 90s one featuring Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt can be grooved to even today.

Pal Pal Dil Ke Pass
This was one of those songs that you just couldn’t ruin, but thanks to Bollywood it has been destroyed. The original number was sung by none other than Kishore Kumar and was beautifully ruined in Wajah Tum Ho. Listening to this feels like my ears are bleeding, no kidding. I finally understand why my parents say “hamare zamaane ke gaane.”

Aeise Na Mujhe Tum Dekho
This song too is from Wajah Tum Ho and yet again was originally sung by Kishore Kumar. What is with this film ruining our favourite songs? I’m actually annoyed with this movie just for that reason. The Kishore Daa track gave goosebumps to us while the new Armaan Malik just makes me think WHY!?

Bollywood, some songs are sacred, please don’t ruin more iconic classics, please!
