Bold and beautiful, that’s my idea of beautiful eyebrows. If your brow game is strong, you know that don’t have to try too hard to make a powerful beauty statement; your eyebrows will automatically do that for you. As much as you love your thick brows, you must accept that they will eventually start thinning. Just like your skin, your eyebrows age with time as well.
Why Your Brows Are Looking Thinner Than Before

When you hit your late twenties, your hair follicles begin to age. While age is one factor that is responsible for eyebrow hair loss, thyroid deficiency is another. If you’ve not reached your 20s yet, but your brows are starting to look thinner by the day, you should get your thyroid checked.
New mommies too may experience eyebrow hair loss–that’s because of the abrupt hormonal changes that happen to their body postpartum. Menopause can also have similar effects on the body.
Your eyebrows can also become thinner if you suffer from a skin condition such as eczema or atopic dermatitis. Either skin condition can cause severe inflammation and itchiness. Picking and scratching your brows can weaken the hair follicles and cause them to fall. To treat this skin condition, I would recommend that you loop in your dermatologist. They will nurse your skin back to health with the help of medication and the use of topical creams.
Loss of eyebrow hair may also be a result of your poor diet choices or you have anemia. Low levels of iron in the body contribute to hair loss. So make sure you’re consuming foods that are rich in iron, including beans, lentils, tofu, meat, dark leafy veggies, oysters, cashews and more. If you feel you may have an undiagnosed iron deficiency, get a ferritin blood test to check your iron levels. And unless your doctor recommends you to take iron supplements, don’t consume any–too much iron can cause constipation, vomiting, nausea and stomach pain.
The last possible cause for thin brows is that you may be overgrooming them. Frequent tweezing, waxing and plucking can cause loss of brow hair. If your brows are starting to become thinner by the day because of this, then avoid grooming them for a while till they grow back thicker and healthier.
How To Fix Thinning Of Brows

First things first, do the tests required and get your diet back on track. Secondly, avoid overgrooming your brows and using too many brow products. If you use brow products often, use them minimally. Also, make sure to remove the product from your brows at the end of the day. Makeup residue can cause inflammation on the skin and tempt you to scratch your brow area, which can further lead to more inflammation.
You can also give microblading a shot. It’s a type of tattoo artistry that involves manually implanting pigment under the skin to help it recreate, enhance and reshape the appearance of the eyebrows. You must know that the longevity of the pigment largely depends on your skin type. However, the effects of microblading last for a good 12-18 months.
We hope this helped you fix your brow woes!
