Ever met a Bollywood buff who is obsessed with Shah Rukh Khan and danced to Chainya Chainya as a toddler? Well, we found one on Instagram! This gorgeous bride, designer Raji Khaira, who runs Crossover Bollywood Se, and B Chic, both retail brands in Canada decided to throw a Bollywood-themed sangeet days before her big fat Indian wedding. Raji and her groom, Sonny even got Bollywood movie posters designed for their wedding decor! From recreating the Bajirao Mastani look by playing Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone themselves to becoming Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma form Rab Ne Banadi Jodi, these two truly left no stones unturned.
B Chic, Raji’s designer brand shared the pictures from her wedding on Instagram. They wrote, “Singing, Dancing, films and more…A Bollywood themed Sangeet for Raji Khaira of Crossover Bollywood Se. From a grand red carpet lined up with a popcorn machine, gol gappa stand, bangle cart and candy bar to Bollywood movie posters featuring Raji and Sonny. The Sangeet was nothing short of a Bollywood film.#rajikinnisonny” A popcorn stand? Can I get invited to this Sangeet?
Raji, our gorgeous bride can be seen wearing a custom made white hand-embroidered lehenga with a soft net dupatta laden with mirror-work by Crossover Bollywood Se and her traditional yet understated jewellery was designed by House Of Virsa. Raji’s glam makeup, with heavy eyelids, winged eyeliner and a nude lip was done by Pink Orchid Studio. The Groom, Sonny’s outfit is from Baynes + Baker and the sangeet took place at Aria Banquet. The eye-catching Bollywood decor was done by LUX Affairs Design & Decor with the Bollywood posters designed by Jasneet Samra. The sangeet was documented by the photographer, Iconic Pictures and videographer, Emerald Films.
