One thing about PeeCee is that she is extremely close to her roots. Even though she and Nick come from different religious backgrounds, she hasn’t chosen one over the other. She embraces Nick’s Christian customs with open arms and he respects hers too. The two lovebirds had two wedding ceremonies, a traditional Hindu wedding and a Christian one.

For the Hindu wedding, Priyanka Chopra was spotted wearing this lovely cherry-red Sabyasachi lehenga. We heard that it took 110 embroiderers from Calcutta to put together PeeCee’s wedding lehenga! To be honest, their time and effort really paid off, because PeeCee looked nothing short of a princess on her wedding night.
However, what really caught our attention was her tiny red bindi. It brought her whole look together and it felt like the cherry on top. According to traditional Indian beliefs, the bindi is a sign of a woman’s marital status. The bindi also has a philosophical side to it. Interestingly, it’s believed to improve concentration, boost blood flow and preserve energy. It’s viewed as the third eye.
In earlier times, bindis of vermilion powder used to be painted on the foreheads of the brides. Today, stickers do a better and neater job. They’re convenient and do not ruin the makeup of brides.
PeeCee’s tiny bindi also holds a strong meaning. The moment she walks into her new home with Nick Jonas, she will bring prosperity and good luck with her.
