TV mogul Ekta Kapoor has produced several hit K-Soaps, including Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Kasautii Zindagii Kay and Kkusum. She has been in the entertainment industry for over two decades now and her production house Balaji Telefilms has become a force to be reckoned with. Ekta recently embraced motherhood and welcomed her first child in March in this year. She had a baby boy via surrogacy and named him Ravie Kapoor, after her dad Jeetendra Kapoor’s real name. Since then, Ekta’s life revolves around balancing work and trying to spend time with her little cherub.

To avoid not staying away from her son for long, Ekta decided to make a few changes in her life. In an earlier interview, the leading producer revealed that her life now centres around her baby boy, “Currently, life is all about spending as much time as possible with my son. These days, I try and leave the office earlier than usual.”

She further added that she takes Ravie to work every day and her entire team helps her with the baby while she is busy managing the office, “I bring Ravie to the office frequently and he spends time with my team. I have a huge support system in my mother and my team, so whenever I get busy with meetings, they keep him entertained. He is only three months old, but he has made friends with my colleagues and it may sound unrealistic, but he recognises people at work.”

In another recent interview with a leading daily, Ekta Kapoor revealed that she has set up a crèche in her office premises. Her job requires her full attention and to avoid compromising on her work, Ekta decided to open a daycare centre so that she could be with her son as much as possible. In fact, she regrets not taking this step earlier.
Speaking to the daily, Ekta said that she now finally realises how important it is for working mothers to spend time with their babies. “I have set up a creche in my office. Even when my son grows older, the creche will continue, because it is important for working mothers to be around their babies. In fact, I should have built it in my office a long time ago. I regret not having done that earlier.”
On the work front, Ekta Kapoor is ruling the small screen with Kasautii Zindagii Kay, which has been topping the TRP charts every week. She has also been producing films through her banner Balaji Motion Pictures. There are multiple films in her kitty that are releasing this year such as Kangana Ranaut’s Mental Hai Kya and Ayushmann Khurrana’s Dream Girl. Moreover, Ekta is currently producing a web series, Mentalhood, which features Karisma Kapoor and Dino Morea in leading roles.
