Bollywood actress Tara Sutaria is all set to make her debut with Dharma Productions’ Student Of The Year 2. The film stars Tiger Shroff and will also mark the debut of Chunky Panday’s daughter Ananya Panday.
Trained in classical ballet, modern dance and Latin American dance forms, Tara is also an amazing singer. Not many know that she started singing at the age of seven. In fact, she has sung songs in hit films like Taare Zameen Par and Guzaarish.
Tara started her career as a video jockey in 2010 with Disney India’s Big Bada Boom. She also starred in the Indian version of The Suite Life Of Zack and Cody titled The Suite Life of Karan & Kabir.
Currently, she’s keeping busy with promotions for SOTY 2 with her co-stars. Talking about her maiden project, Tara said, “I would not like my debut to be in any other way than launch with Dharma. This has been the best experience.”
But there’s something very interesting that she recently revealed. Tara spoke about how SOTY 2 wasn’t going to be her debut film. In fact, she was going to make her debut with a Hollywood film! The actress was supposed to play the role of Princess Jasmine in Will Smith’s Aladdin.
Tara said, “I was actually supposed to do another film with Will Smith a year before we started Student of the Year 2 in London. I was working on this film Aladdin, which is, in fact, releasing a week after SOTY. So, I was meant to play Jasmine in that film. We would have worked together on that film and it is so ironic that I didn’t end up doing that film, but I am doing this and he actually came here and we ended up working on this.”

Tara has bagged another movie without having made her debut. She’ll be seen in Milap Zaveri’s Marjaavaan. It is said to be an action-packed, high-on-drama and emotional love story set in Mumbai that also stars Riteish Deshmukh and Sidharth Malhotra in pivotal roles.
