The B-town diva, Sushmita Sen is the embodiment of beauty and grace. She’s an inspiration and has made us all fall in love with the person she is time and again. She’s a single mother who adopted the gorgeous Renee (19) and Alisah (10) and showers them with a whole lot of love. Like every proud mommy, her Instagram is full of videos and photos of them.
Now, the Main Hoon Na actor shared heartwarming videos of Alisah reading out her essay on being adopted. The 43-year-old star was ‘in tears’ when she heard this and we are too. It has been a decade since she adopted Alisah in 2010 and it sure has been a journey full of love and happiness for the family. Take a look at the video:
The video of her daughter reading out her essay is interrupted constantly by Sush’s ‘awws’. Now, isn’t that every mother doting over her kids? After the reading, Alisah even told her mommy that she wrote the piece by herself by ‘reflecting on her past and present.’ Sush also shared her favourite line from the essay and captioned the post, “You gave life in such a way, that you saved one. #alisahsen… She had me in tears… This magnitude of love, acceptance, security, purity and honesty… the divinity in her convictions… uffff! Just listening to her opens the heart. #bornfromtheheart. I love you guys.”
Earlier, Sushmita Sen came up with the term “born from the heart” when she first told Renee that she was adopted. In an interview, she said, “I told her (Renee), ‘Biological is boring… everybody is born from somebody’s stomach. Why would you want that? You’re special because you’re born from the heart.'”
She had also spoken with a news agency about how adoption was not an “act of charity” for her. She said it was the wisest decision she made when she was 24. She opened up saying, “The wisest decision I made at the age of 24 was to become a mother. It stabilised my life. People think it was a great act of charity and wonderful action but it was self-preservation. It was me protecting myself.”
Sush is an inspiration to all. And, we have to say, Alisah and Renee are lucky to have a mom who is such a star and vice versa.
