Nobody in Bollywood plays with fashion the way Sonam Kapoor Ahuja does. She has a refined style sense and a dream wardrobe that every girl would want. The actress never shies away from experimenting with her outfits and owns every look with panache. Representing L’Oréal, Sonam has been making a splash at Cannes for a decade now.
Everyone waited with bated breath to see what Sonam Kapoor would be bringing to the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival this year. And as always, the fashionista delivered. For her first appearance at the red carpet, she went all-out in an eye-catching red gown by Valentino. Her gown stood out not only for its bright hue but also for its interesting silhouette. She opted for ‘fresh face makeup’ with nude pink lips and a mettalic eyeshadow to round off her look.
Wasn’t her showstopping arrival at the French Riviera worth the wait? Yesterday, for the Chopard party, she picked an Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla outfit and stirred quite a storm with her appearance. She looked like royalty in the ivory tube gown with intricate silver embroidery. With a beautiful matching choker, her whole ensemble had a touch of vintage in it.
The outfit is all about the details.
The heart-shaped neckline highlighted her defined collar bones. Her sleek, centre-parted hair was tied in a low bun, with the dupatta attached to it.
The 33-year-old actress kept her accessories minimal with a statement ring on her right hand. Her shimmery smokey eye makeup and the semi-matte brown lip shade complemented her contoured face perfectly.
Her sister (and stylist) Rhea Kapoor took to her Instagram account to share her sister’s look and bestowed her with the title ‘Modern Maharani’.

Sharing another royal picture of Sonam, Rhea wrote, “When India does couture. @abujanisandeepkhosla painting @sonamkapoor in silver.”
Last year the newlywed nailed the red carpet event with her gorgeous looks. She grabbed headlines for she wearing a statement Vera Wang couture gown with her chooda and mehendi.
