Sonakshi Sinha always makes quite a fashion statement with her Indian wear. Her sarees are always gorgeously draped and she carries them off effortlessly. It helps that she was earlier a costume designer and that’s why she has such an impeccable sense of style.
Over the weekend, our fave Dabangg girl was quite busy painting the tinsel town in all shades of stunning. She hopped from dancing at one wedding to another and we’re sure as hell not complaining. She was at socialite Poorna Patel’s celebration looking oh-so-gorgeous in yellow and then went to her friend’s wedding as well.
For her friend Ritika and Nitesh’s mehendi day, Sona opted for a ruby red sharara set with a matching dupatta. It was an Arpita Mehta creation with a cold-shoulder detail.
The top was heavily detailed with thread work, mirror embroidery and tassels. The bottom was tiered giving the outfit a flare to it. The dupatta was sheer but with a matching border to tie the look together.
Sonakshi accessorised with a maang-tikka and matching chandbaali earrings and even wore a tiny golden bindi to get her desi vibe on.
For the makeup, she went bold with the eyebrows and eyeliner and defined lashes to get her flirty fluttery side on. She sweeped across golden eyeshadow to go with her ensemble and it looked fab. To keep the look subtle, she chose a nude pink lipstick and rocked the ‘my lips but better’ craze.
For the main wedding function, Sonakshi wore a white saree with colourful details by Arpita Mehta. It was a sequined embellished piece teamed with a bright red blouse.
The Lootera star also took to the stage on the sangeet night. Clearly, you can’t compete with a Bolly heroin when it comes to getting in the groove. Woohoo, Sona!
