We woke up to quite a happy surprise this morning. Shilpa Shetty posted a picture welcoming a new baby girl into her world. According to sources, Shilpa and her hubby, Raj struggled with pregnancy for a few years and decided to have a baby through surrogacy instead.
Shilpa Took To Instagram To Welcome A New Member Into Her Family
Everyone, meet Samisha Shetty Kundra (or junior SSK as she likes to call her).
Shilpa shared the reason why she chose this name! She wrote,” ‘Sa’ in Sanskrit is “to have”, and ‘Misha’ in Russian stands for “someone like God”. You personify this name – our Goddess Laxmi, and complete our family”. She also revealed that this name to her came when she was 21 and always prayed for a daughter.
What an adorable little name, right?
Baby Samisha was born on the 15th of February. Since the actress was seen on set, making lots of red carpet appearances without a baby bump in sight, the news of the new baby was a surprise to her fans. Speaking to a leading newspaper, Shilpa revealed that they have trying to have a baby for five years and when she got the news that she and Raj are going to be parents again, she cleared the whole month off. She also goes on to thanks her fabulous team and manager who planned everything to the final detail and helped her complete most of the work before her long break.
Shilpa and Raj got married in November 2009 and welcomed their firstborn, Viaan in May 2012. Currently, Shilpa is gearing up for a comeback to Bollywood after 13 years. Shilpa will be seen in two movies this year, Nikamma and Hungama 2.
