Not every Potterhead is lucky enough to get a personalised note and a box of Harry Potter goodies from the legendary, J.K. Rowling. However, 12-year-old Kulsum from Jammu and Kashmir is a lucky girl! Sometime in April, the little girl was working on a school assignment where she mentioned that she is inspired not just by Rowling’s work, but also the fact that she powered through many difficulties in her life.
The essay takes a sweeter turn from here – she then sent her good wishes and prayers to the author and hoped that when she grows up, she would get a chance to meet her.
The real wizard who made Kulsum’s wish come true was Haji Public School’s Director, Sabbah Haji. She sent out the tweet to JK Rowling with a link to Kulsum’s essay. Guess what happened after? J.K. Rowling replied! Here’s the thread –
Believe it or not, but two months later, Kulsum and her classmates received goodies, notes and oodles of love from J.K. Rowling. The smile on each of their faces makes us believe that magic truly does exist! We mean, just look at those happy faces as they unwrap their presents.
What happiness looks like…
It’s raining goodies!
Apparently, it wasn’t just our hearts that were melting at the sight of these overjoyed kids, the teachers of Haji Public School had a mush attack too. Here’s proof!
Rowling later went through all the tweets and was relieved that the presents reached the kids in one piece.
Isn’t this the most heartwarming story you’ve heard all day? Yep, it made us go AWW too!
