Cricketer Jasprit Bumrah and TV presenter Sanjana Ganesan recently had a private wedding in Goa. And while we still can’t get over how gorgeous their shaadi was, we just got hold of pictures from their mehendi ceremony.
Bumrah and Sanjana wore custom Anita Dongre outfits for their mehendi. Hand-painted with traditional Pichwai art, the bride’s parrot green lehenga was inspired by Indian forests and was created by Jaipur-based artisans. Sanjana’s lehenga also featured gota patti embroidery along with zari, zardozi, pearl, and sequin details.
The bride paired her outfit with chandbalis from Pinkcity by Anita Dongre. And get this, both Bumrah and Sanjana donned Anita Dongre footwear as well.
Just a week ago, Bumrah had requested BCCI to release him from the final match of the ongoing test series against England. This had the rumor mill buzzing about his wedding. The cricketer took to Instagram yesterday to share gorgeous pictures of his private goa wedding. “Love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course. Steered by love, we have begun a new journey together. Today is one of the happiest days of our lives and we feel blessed to be able to share the news of our wedding and our joy with you,” read the caption.
Soon after, social media was flooded with adorable videos from the couple’s varmala ceremony, sangeet performances as well as other pre-wedding functions.
We’ve already bookmarked their outfits and we just can’t wait to see what they wore for the rest of their wedding festivities!
