The world of showbiz is an enticing one, the success is heady, and the fame that comes is addictive. Quite naturally, it is rather difficult to leave the industry once you are a well-known name. And yet Bigg Boss fame Sana Khan has bid goodbye to the entertainment industry so as to spend her life in the service of humanity.
The actor took to Instagram on Thursday night and made the announcement in a long note addressed to her fans and followers. “Today I am talking to you at a crucial juncture in my life,” she wrote and added, “I have been living the Showbiz (Film Industry) life for years, and during this time I have been blessed with all kinds of fame, honour and wealth from my fans for which I am grateful to them. But for a few days now, I have been possessed of the realisation that: Is the real purpose of man’s coming into this world only to chase wealth and fame? Isn’t it a part of his/her duty to spend his/her life in the service of those who are needy and helpless?”
In the note, Sana added that she has been long haunted by such existential questions and the idea of the real purpose of life. She also shared that she has found her answer in the service of humanity and is thus leaving showbiz to pursue her true calling and help the needy and helpless.
She further urged people from the industry not to approach her for work anymore and wrote, “I declare today that from today onwards, I have resolved to say goodbye to my showbiz lifestyle forever and serve humanity and follow the orders of my Creator. All brothers and sisters are requested to pray for me to Allah to accept my repentance and grant me the true ability to live in accordance with my determination of spending my life following the commandments of my Creator and in the service of humanity, and grant me perseverance in to. Finally, all brothers and sisters are requested to not consult me with regards to any Showbiz work henceforth.”
“My happiest moment😊 May Allah help me n guide me in this journey. Aap sab mujhe dua Mai Shamil rakhe🤲🏻,” Sana captioned the post.
This comes across a rather surprising announcement given that Sana was doing really well career-wise post her Bigg Boss 6 appearance. To date, she has acted in 14 films, over 50 ad-films, and a number of reality shows. She was also super active on TikTok in the past couple of years and a lot of those videos were also posted on her Insta feed. However, she recently deleted all of that from Instagram, including pictures from her modeling photoshoots. Fans were only beginning to wonder and Sana has now put a full stop to all the speculations with her announcement. Well, here’s hoping that Sana finds peace and happiness in her new life!
