Sanjay Leela Bhansali is known worldwide for big-budget films with extravagant sets that look straight out of a dream and a star cast that we can’t get out of our dreams…until now! The Padmaavat director recently put all speculations to rest by confirming that Alia Bhatt and Salman Khan are going to be the lead pair in his next film titled Inshallah. The tweet read:

Salman Khan started his career in Bollywood in 1988 (when he was 23 years old) which is way before Alia Bhatt was even born (1993). And to think that the two of them are going to be romancing in a film sounds unsettling. Salman, as of today, is 53 years old whereas Alia just turned 26 on March 15. Salman is more than twice as old as Alia with an age gap of 27 years.

In HDDCS, Salman was seen with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. At the time, they were at the peak of their romantic relationship giving us all kinds of couple goals. LOL!

And did you notice one thing? In all these movies, the male actor is older than the female actor. It is barely ever the other way round because God forbid! The case that comes to mind is Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor (age gap: 9 years) in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, as the movie’s plot required it so.
No wonder social media is losing it over Salman and Alia’s Inshallah. We’re wondering what Bhansali sahab was thinking while deciding the film’s cast?
