Rihanna has undoubtedly been the star of the beauty industry in 2017. So, of course, we were thrilled at the launch of a range of Fenty Beauty matte lipsticks with 14 shades. RiRi is ending the year with a bang! The collection is called Mattemoiselle and we have to say that every shade is as unique and diverse as the other.
We observed (read: stalked) and figured that RiRi was actually posting all the shades on her Instagram, one at a time and they ALL looked amazing on her! Having said that, we would love to tell you that this collection also stands true to Fenty’s principle of creating make-up for everyone. Rihanna explained in a press release that her purpose behind this line is to have “a lipstick collection where every shade works on every skin tone.” She added, “I wanted to prove that lipstick is meant to be fun, not feared!” Now that makes it tough not to buy every single one of the 14 shades.
These lipsticks are inspired by Rihanna’s own daring taste. She has worn all kinds of bold lip colours including green, blue, pink, lavender and red, and now, your favourite star says you can wear them too. Making a one-for-all red Stunna lipstick is still believable but creating unconventional lipstick shades for everyone is brilliant! It’s certainly not just a regular lipstick collection of reds and nudes but also wild-card hues such as periwinkle, bottle green and orange, to name a few. With a light-as-air texture, the formula of the product is as alluring as the shades themselves.
If you thought the name of the collection was amazing, the cheeky names of these shades are even better. There is a, Ma’damn, Clapback, Midnight Wasabi, Freckle Fiesta, Shawty, Ya Dig and One of the Boyz. What would be amazing though is wearing these shades and having someone ask us what we are wearing! Check out below, how amazing these shades look on Rihanna and you can totally pull them off too. Now you know what you need to ask for, from anyone coming to visit you, right? Apart from Stunna Lip Paint, of course! So, mark your calendar for 26th December, the collection will drop at selected Sephora sites and fentybeauty.com. Just another reason to stay excited after Christmas!
