Bigg Boss fans, it’s time to rejoice! The popular reality TV show is returning with its new season and believe it or not, it’s gonna be a little hatke. On Sunday, August 17, the makers of Bigg Boss 14 dropped a teaser of the show featuring its host Salman Khan. The host aka bhai of Bollywood claimed that this season would change ‘manoranjan ka scene’.
In the teaser, Salman can be seen having popcorn while sitting in an empty cinema hall. He says, “Manoranjan pe 2020 ne uthaye prashn, denge uttar manate hue jashn. Ab scene paltega. Kyunki bigg boss denge 2020 ko jawab (2020 has raised many questions on entertainment and we will answer them while having a celebration. While several fans of the show can’t keep calm, there are some who are planning on boycotting the show just like they are objecting to Alia Bhatt’s Sadak 2. The ongoing nepotism debate led viewers to boycott the film. And with 11 million dislikes, netizens have made it the most ‘disliked’ video on YouTube in India. The nepotism debate reignited in Bollywood after actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. It has now become the reason for netizens boycotting many promos and teasers.
Then there are those who cannot wait for bhai to host the next season, and in fact, they already rooting for any jodi who is going to give them chemistry as solid as #SidNaaz.
In the run-up to the next season of the controversial reality show, Colors TV has been releasing promo pictures and clips and we cannot be more excited.
On August 16, ace designer Ashley Rebello shared Salman’s first look for the show. He wore a blue T-shirt with a faded denim jacket, and we must say that we don’t know about the entertainment scene but bhai’s dressing style is still as old as the show ;)!
Earlier this week, Colors TV also released a promo picture that showed Salman mopping the floor, while wearing T-shirt and pants with a pair of comfy slippers.
As for the first teaser of the show, the video appeared to be shot at Salman’s farmhouse as it showed the superstar farming and driving a tractor. In the clip, he said, “Lockdown laya hai normal life mein speed breaker isliye uga raha hun chawal aur chala raha hun tractor. Par ab scene paltega (I am growing rice and driving a tractor as the lockdown has slowed down everyone’s lives. But now, things will change)”.

If reports are to be believed, Bigg Boss 14 is expected to roll out in September as soon as Khatron ke Khiladi – India wraps up. According to reports, this season will have a mix of celebrities and commoners. While the official list of contestants isn’t out yet, celebs like Nia Sharma, Adhyayan Suman, Jasmin Bhasin among others are reportedly in talks with the makers of the reality show. Once they come on board, they have to quarantine themselves for a given period before entering the Bigg Boss house.
Apparently, the theme of the show will revolve around coronavirus and social distancing this year. After the super successful Bigg Boss 13, the makers are doing everything they can to make sure that the upcoming season grabs all the eyeballs but only time will tell how viewers would react to the show amidst the debates on nepotism.
