Main thi? Tum thi? Main thi, tum thi, kaun tha? High five, if you were singing the famous Yashraj Mukhate rap while you read those questions. The iconic clip from the daily soap Saath Nibhana Saathiya had gone insanely viral on social media when Yashraj made a musical meme out of it. In the video, Kokilaben, played by the very talented Rupal Patel, was seen asking her daughter-in-law, Gopi (Gia Manek), who was in the kitchen and who put an empty pressure cooker on the stove? The viral meme became so popular that everyone knows by now that rasode mein Rashi thi!
The sheer success of the meme was evident when a few days later, the makers dropped a new trailer of Saath Nibhana Saathiya 2. Devoleena Bhattacharjee aka Gopi bahu introduced the new character of the show – Gehna – and promptly added that rasode mein Gehna ne cooker gas pe chadha diya (we saw what you did there Gopi bahu)! And now, taking it a notch higher, the show is back to recreate the iconic scene one more time! Kokila is once again asking the most thrilling question of the decade – rasode mein kaun tha?
In the promo clip recently shared on social media, Kokila summoned Gopi and the rest of the family. She was seen asking who made the prasad and Gehna (Sneha Jain) admitted that she did. Kokila was then seen asking about the ingredients in the prasad and revealed that it had eggs! and according to Kokila, a ghor anarth and apshagun has happened. Gehna was seen denying all the allegations and saying that she didn’t put eggs in the holy offering. So now, the question remains, who was in the kitchen when Gehna left and who put eggs in the prasad. The fans will soon get the answer and we might soon get another epic meme out of it (Yashraj, are you listening?).
Rasode mein kaun tha is not the only viral video by Yashraj that got all of us singing and dancing to its tune. In September, he made another meme called Biggini Shoot that hit the jackpot once again among the audience. Celebrities like Taapsee Pannu made hilarious videos on the catchy tune with her sisters while on a vacation in the Maldives. Undoubtedly, Yashraj has started his own unique trend of merging dialogues with some of the quirkiest tunes and we are so loving it!
It will be fun to watch if the recreated Rasode Mein Kaun Tha scene will gain the same response. Till then, we can only wonder who was actually in the kitchen and who really put eggs in the prasad!
