Now, at the 10th Annual Women in the World Summit in New York Priyanka Chopra opened up about their initial courtship days. She shared an incident about how unwaveringly supportive Nick Jonas was of her.
Narrating the heartwarming incident, she said that they were hanging out with a few friends and she had a meeting to attend. She kept dropping hints about canceling the meeting but Nick didn’t take the bait.
The Baywatch star said, “I said it twice. I said it thrice. Finally, he took me aside and was like, ‘Look, I’m not stupid, I know what you’re trying to do. But I will never be the one that tells you to cancel work because I know how hard you have worked to be where you are. If you could have canceled the meeting, you would have done it.”
Nick then even offered to take their friends out for dinner and wait for PeeCee to return from her meeting. Touched, the actress said, “I was like, this is the first time someone has ever done that for me.”
Priyanka also revealed that her nickname for Nick is “Old Man Jonas aka OMJ” because he is an old soul. She even said that he’s extremely intelligent and that keeps her grounded.
She said, “I’m a wild child. I do whatever I want, whenever I want and he always supports me.” Awww, that’s exactly what we all want in the ideal life partner, someone to be supportive of all the choices we make.
