When you think of reigning fashion icons and social bees, the Kardashians are probably the first to come to mind but much before them, Paris Hilton was the name on everyone’s lips. The Simple Life star and fashionista has been an inspiration to many in her time and in fact, she still is. Remember her NanoDrop April fool prank in association with SodaStream as a part of their campaign? If you know about this fictional product, you know what Hilton is capable of, she slays the world in her own ways.
If you thought Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner and now Rihanna are the only ones with a make-up line, you need to check again. Hilton’s beauty line doesn’t end at her successful fragrances. Surprisingly unknown to many, she also has a make-up line which includes mascaras, eyeshadows, liquid lipsticks and more and it came about long before the KKW Beauty crème waterproof long-lasting lip gloss (Rs 2,957) or Kylie’s Lip Kits.
You didn’t know about her cosmetics line either? We’re sure you’re not the only one! We were questioning ourselves as well when Hilton posted a picture herself posing as “#GirlBoss” linked out the Instagram account of Paris Hilton Cosmetics. We obviously went ahead and scrolled through it and there they were, these secret make-up products that we had not seen before. The reason you didn’t know about it till now was that these products are hard to come by as they might only be available with second-hand sites and third-party retailers, but as per many Instagram users, the quality of Paris Hilton Cosmetics’ products is not something to be doubtful about. One of the fans commented on PHC’s Instagram post, “My whole makeup bag is filled with Paris Hilton products I swear by them I literally can’t get enough.”
But now we know the reason why Hilton’s cosmetics line hasn’t been spread around in the big beauty stores so far. It’s because it was her ‘secret’ cosmetics line and was soft-launched in the U.S. two years ago. And now, there are talks about expanding it along with Paris Hilton perfumes into big box stores.
Fans have been requesting Hilton to bring her line to Sephora and make it more accessible. So, should we be expecting any launch news soon? Certainly, with Paris Hilton Cosmetics website saying, “website coming soon,” it’s a clear sign that we’re in for a big surprise soon. We guess that even after 10 years, Hilton is not in the mood to relinquish her crown. We’re pretty sure you’ll be hearing about a new holiday collection from the line next month on.
