Coronavirus- the global pandemic has brought the entire world to a halt. With rapid spike in COVID-19 cases coming to light each day, #SocialDistancing has become a way of life for all of us. Lockdowns have been imposed in various countries of the world. While we have the privilege of staying indoor, there are many healthcare workers who are going out on the frontlines to fight a war against the deadly virus that all of us can’t afford to lose. These workers deserve all the reverence and accolades as they shield us from the threatening pandemic.
One such initiative has been taken by WHO. The organisation collaborated with global A-Listers, such as Priyanka Chopra, Shahrukh Khan, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Rita Ora, Billie Ellish, Celine Dion, Usher, Stevie Wonder who performed songs from their living rooms, on Saturday.
Organised by Lady Gaga and Global Citizen, a charitable organisation, the concert had some of the biggest names of pop culture participating in the six-hour broadcast of The One World: Together At Home Concert. The line-up was ciurated by Lady Gaga and she called the event “a love letter” to the frontline workers.

The proceeds from the concert will go to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the WHO. Lady Gaga, however, clarified the show would focus on entertainment and messages of solidarity rather than being a fundraising event.
