Under lockdown and far apart, couples are going online to say their wedding vows. In the past few months, we’ve seen couples organising a wedding armed with masks while practicing all the social-distancing norms. Just like ‘work from home’ is becoming the new normal, who knows, we may see WFH or wedding from home becoming a thing in the coming future. ‘Coz clearly there’s no point in postponing wedding dates as we don’t know when all of this is going to end
Recently, Tollywood actor Nikhil Siddhartha officially became a married man having tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend Dr Pallavi Varma today morning. According to reports, their wedding was a private ceremony with only family members and close friends in the presence and took place at a farmhouse in Hyderabad. The government norms introduced during the lockdown were diligently followed for the same. In fact, all the limited number of guests present wore masks as a precaution. There were separate stalls for masks and sanitizers too (see pics below).

While Nikhil wore a printed warm gold sherwani, Pallavi was dressed in a traditional red and gold silk saree for the ceremony. They are looking so perfect together, aren’t they?! Going by the pictures, their pre-wedding functions such as Haldi ceremony took place sometime yesterday for which the Telugu actor chose a yellow kurta and the doctor wore a blue and pink silk saree.
According to reports, #NikPal had planned on having a grand wedding on April 15 and 16 but because of the nationwide lockdown that was announced on March 25 due to the COVID-19 outbreak in India, they had no choice but to reschedule their wedding. And with the lockdown about to extend, even more, it was decided by their families to have a private ceremony and get the couple wedded with love. Nikhil and Pallavi might host a wedding reception after the lockdown is lifted for extended family and friends in the industry.
Nik-Pal got engaged in February when the actor proposed to her at a beach, after dating for over two years. Our heartiest congratulations to the happy couple!
