The relentless rainfall continues in Mumbai and surrounding areas, leading to waterlogging and traffic issues. Mumbai received 85% of its average rainfall for the month of June in just four days. On account of which the CM’s office had declared a 2-day holiday for all Mumbaikars and advised them to stay indoors.
Several districts of Mumbai experienced flooding, and more than 30 people died across Maharashtra in rain-related incidents. Amidst all this mayhem, one act of compassion by a Mumbai police officer has come to light and the internet is beyond ecstatic.
Mumbai Police released a video on Twitter, in which a police cop, PC Prakash Pawar, can be seen rescuing a dog from flood waters. This heartwarming video went viral on social media and netizens can’t stop lauding the officer. In other news, a pharmacist in Istanbul helped an injured stray dog who came to her door asking for help. The woman cleaned the little puppy’s wound and saved his life. How touching is that! Just reminds you of the fact that a little act of kindness can go a long way.
