Mohena Kumari Singh aka Keerti Naksh Singhania from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai recently tied the knot with Suyesh Rawat. The pictures from her grand wedding were all over the internet last month. Mohena wore a traditional Rajputi poshak (lehenga) and, boy, did she look drop-dead gorgeous!
Apart from gaining popularity on YRKKH, Mohena was also the first girl from any royal family to participate in a reality show, Dance India Dance season 3. After her wedding, the actress has relocated to Dehradun and decided to bid adieu to her career as a telly actress to become a homemaker and devote her time to her new family. In a recent interview with a leading daily, Mohena got candid about life after shaadi.
Now That’s What We Call The Perfect Family Portrait!
The actress is having a gala time at her new abode and by the looks of it, we can say she’s living her best life. She says she’s enjoying her break by savouring lots of spicy food, meeting new friends in Dehradun and performing pujas at home. “The food in my new home in Dehradun is just amazing. My in-laws eat good homemade spicy food. And I have been eating a lot spicier and yummier food at my new abode, meeting new family members, relatives and friends. It’s like a break for me and it just feels so good,” says the actress.
The actress reveals her morning routine is now different. As a new bahu, she is mostly spending time dressing up in traditional attires, meeting relatives and making new friends.
Now, she did practice all this on the sets of YRKKH. Didn’t she? Well, she admits it herself – “I got lessons on the set itself where I would dress up in ethnic outfits for the show. It’s like creating a magical world out of reality!” says Mohena. She also says she owes this love of dressing up to her grandmother who would dress her up every morning and go for prayers.
According to Mohena, being married to the royal family of Rewa in Madhya Pradesh definitely comes with its perks. But, she says she also misses her time as an actor. “I do miss going on the sets and meeting my co-actors. More than anything else, I miss reading scripts and preparing myself to mouth dialogues. At the same time, I am very glad that I got the opportunity to work and enjoy what I wanted the most. But this was even more important and I have no regrets,” she adds.
Mohena is now gearing up for her grand reception that will take place on 9th November, followed by her bidai the next day! All the best for your new life, Mohena!
