In the past few days, the only thing that the nation wanted to know was, aakhir rasode mein kaun tha? After the viral mashup made out of a clip from popular TV show Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, the makers announced season 2 of the popular saas-bahu saga. Ever since then speculations around the cast for the new season have been doing rounds. Putting all speculations to rest, the promo featured Devoleena Bhattacharjee as Gopi bahu. And now, another actor from the first season is all set to return to the show, the OG Ahem Modi. Yes, we are talking about actor Mohammad Nazim.
Earlier, reports suggested that the makers were in talks with Bigg Boss 13 winner Sidharth Shukla to play Ahem Modi. But according to the latest buzz, Nazim is returning to take on his adarsh beta avatar. Reportedly, the producer and director, Rashmi Sharma and Pawan Kumar are trying to crack a deal with the actor.
“Rashmi Sharma and Pawan Kumar are leaving no stone unturned to get the best of the lot on board. After Devoleena, they have now roped in Nazim. While a formal meeting is yet to be held between the actor and makers, the deal is as good as locked. Ahem is an important character, and season two will be incomplete without him. The creative team is in the process of fleshing out the graph of the character. Expect Ahem to be back, but with a twist,” a source revealed to a media publication.
Recently, Devoleena aka Gopi bahu shared the teaser of Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2 on her Instagram handle and, like many others, Nazim commented on the post to congratulate her. Devoleena’s reaction to the comment also hinted at Nazim’s return to the show. Here’s what the actors wrote –
