This time, the Welcome actor shared a DIY recipe for acne treatment and it is really easy to whip up. We’re sure you have these ingredients at home and can try it out if you have acne and breakout-prone skin.
According to Malaika, you’ve to take some cinnamon powder (dalchini), add a tablespoon of raw organic honey, squeeze some fresh lime juice to it and your face pack is ready. “Apply it evenly on your face avoiding the mouth and eye area, keep it for 8-10 mins and rinse it off with cold water. You may feel a tingling sensation, that’s fine, but if it’s unbearable then rinse off,” she said.
Honey is also used for many skin conditions like ulcers, bedsores, and burns. It penetrates the wound and helps ward off bacteria. It also helps with reducing inflammation and calming the skin. Cinamon, on the other hand, has loads of anti-microbial, anti-parasitic, and anti-inflammatory properties that help heal a wound. Thus these two together work wonders for acne and acne scars.
Lime juice is also said to reduce sebum in the skin because it has citric acid that has a drying effect. It even has antiseptic qualities, which may kill bacteria that lead to acne. Now all these three ingredients together have the beauty maven, Malaika Arora’s stamp of approval on them, so are you sold yet cause we totally are!
