If you’re on social media, then you must have noticed that actors Deepika Padukone and Kartik Aaryan have been getting quite friendly lately. Last month, the two got pally when they were spotted dancing together on the song Dheeme Dheeme at the Mumbai airport.
In fact, in a recent interview, Deepika spoke about how she finds Kartik ‘endearing’ and ‘hardworking’. “I saw him on Instagram…And I started observing him and something about him I find so endearing, I find him extremely hardworking. I have not met him too many times, so I don’t know as an outsider my understanding is that he’s extremely focused, he’s extremely driven. And he is not apologetic about it. He will do whatever it takes to be successful. He will do whatever it takes to be at the top. And I love that about him,” she had said.
Wow, that’s quite a lot of praise!
Well, Kartik has certainly taken this quite well. In fact, going by their recent banter on Instagram, we think the two might be on their way to filming a movie together! On Thursday, Kartik took to Instagram to share a collage of the two together. On the left is an old picture of the actor, while on the right is Deepika’s still from her first film Om Shanti Om. He captioned it, “Hai kisi director mein dum?” literally challenging directors in Bollywood to cast them together. Talk about not-so-subtle hints.
Deepika, too, was quick to respond. Sharing Kartik’s story on her own handle, she wrote, “Why these pictures though!?!?” Kartik then made a clever reference to an iconic line from Deepika’s film and replied, “Kyunki tabse Qainat iss koshish mein lagi hai.” He’s certainly done his homework!
Deepika finally responded with another dialogue from Om Shanti Om, “@kartikaaryan agar aap kisi cheeze ko sacche dil se chaho…”, making it clear that she is open to working with him too. Isn’t that something, now?
On the work front, both actors have been very busy. While Kartik’s movie Pati Patni Aur Woh recently hit the box office, he has more films slated for release this year including Aaj Kal and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Deepika, on the other hand, is busy promoting Chapaak, which is releasing on January 10.
