Kartik Aaryan is all set to step into Khiladi Akshay Kumar’s shoes in the sequel of Bhool Bhulaiyaa that is set to hit the silver screen next year. The first installment was a blockbuster hit and was the official Hindi remake of the 1993 Malayalam comedy psychological thriller, Manichitrathazhu.
In the sequel, Kartik will be playing the role of an uncanny ghosthunter in the upcoming horror-comedy. Till now, the Pyaar Ka Punchnama fame actor has so far starred opposite actresses like Kriti Sanon, Nushrat Barucha and Kriti Kharbanda. He has also shot with rumoured girlfriend Sara Ali Khan for Love Aaj Kal 2 and Ananya Panday in Pati, Patni Aur Woh.
Now, the latest reports suggest that Kiara Advani has been roped in to play Kartik’s leading lady in the film. This will be Kartik’s maiden pairing with Kiara. Both Kartik and Kiara are the current favourites and creating a buzz among millennials. The two made our hearts melt after they made an appearance together as show-stoppers for designer Manish Malhotra’s collection in October 2018.
In August this year, Kartik posted the first promotional still of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 on Instagram. Captioning the post, he wrote, “Ghostbuster is all set to enter. Hare Ram Hare Ram Hare Krishna Hare Ram”.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is Kiara’s second horror-comedy after Laxmmi Bomb where Kiara is playing the lead opposite Akshay Kumar. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is expected to go on floors in October wile the pre-production of the movie has already commenced.
