This weekend, so much happened in Bollywood that it’s hard to believe that it was only two days long. From DeepVeer’s griha pravesh in Mumbai to Neha Dhupia giving birth to a cute little baby girl, it was as happening for us as it was for them. But, in terms of fashion, there is one look in particular that beat DeepVeer’s matching Sabyasachi outfits to the ground. Last night at an event, Bebo brought down the house (yet again) in an outfit so gorgeous that we could smell roses just by looking at the pictures.

Kareena Kapoor Khan dressed in a Prabal Gurung gown in pink and looked like a rose in full bloom. She couldn’t have worn a better dress for the occasion, don’t you think?
Our second favourite part about the dress, after the popping pink, of course, is that the colour-blocked dress can be styled in multiple ways, owing to the multiple folds in the front – you can style it as a halter neck dress, as an off-shoulder dress or mix things up to form a statement-making neckline like Tanya Ghavri, Kareena’s stylist did. The dress falls into a flowy silhouette and comes with a thigh-high slit adding to the outfit’s charms.

It is because of dresses like these that make us want to work out a little harder in the gym – we want them rock hard abs like Kareena’s.

To complement the look, Kareena went for a minimal makeup look with smudged kohl-rimmed eyes, a dab of highlighter and a nude lipstick. She also kept her accessories limited to a pair of diamond studs, giving the outfit the attention it deserves. As for the hair, a messy bun never disappoints, does it?

Prabal Gurung is known to have a lot of gathered details, knotted styles and ruffles in his designs. His skirts are usually flowy with slits, giving it a dreamy vibe. He also likes to play with sleeve styles, making every piece in his collection stand out. No wonder Kareena needed nothing more than a pair of nude heels to complete the look for the night.
