Soon, you’ll see Karan Johar sharing the stage at Shah Rukh Khan’s Ted Talks and as the topic for the show is ‘changing relationships,’ Karan is focusing on a new letter that he has written for his kids, Yash and Roohi. He has poured both, his experience and his heart out in his words and it’s safe to say that when his twins grow up, they’ll have countless beautiful moments from the past to cherish.
In the letter, Karan has written about how his father, Yash Johar, “had given him the freedom to choose what he wanted to be. Karan wrote that he too hopes to be as supportive to his children,” reports mid-day.
He also spoke of the problems he feels his kids might face as they grow up, “As you grow up, people will try to label you according to colour, looks, religion, popularity and money. People will gossip about you, but know that no one can label you. Just because you are different, it doesn’t make you wrong. You may be treated differently in school; mothers of your classmates will come to drop them, but you will have your father to take care of that. While most of your classmates’ mothers will make a WhatsApp group to discuss your homework, I will be the only father in it.” He concluded his letter by saying, “It’s a blessing to become a father. You both make me want to be a better person.”
We are sure it’s going to be an emotional and inspiring episode! And kudos to Karan Johar for setting such a great example for his kids. This is what a role model father looks like.
