Student Of The Year 2 has been one of the most anticipated films of the year. The film starring debutants Tara Sutaria and Ananya Panday along with Tiger Shroff hasn’t received great reviews from the critics or the audience. The makers of the films created a lot of hype around it, but the fans have been highly disappointed.
From calling it the sequel of Flying Jatt 2 (because Tiger likes to summersault into and out of situations) to asking for a refund, the film has been mercilessly trolled for its missing storyline, sexism and too many needless stunts by Tiger Shroff (Read More: Thoughts We Had While Watching Student Of The Year 2). Karan Johar, known to show unrealistic scenarios in his films, has done it again, and this time his formulae has clearly not worked.
Recently, Aditya Seal, the antagonist in the film, compared SOTY 2 to Avengers Endgame and faced backlash on Twitter. When asked about his opinion on people’s criticism for SOTY2, Aditya said, “That is exactly the section of society who will watch Avengers and love it and believe that superheroes exist, but they will give us flak for it.”
This didn’t end here. He further said, “This is a fantasy. Who wouldn’t want to be a part of a school like this where you have such amazing-looking people and the school is this good? We are just trying to create a world for people where they can just watch it and be like, ‘Oh, I wish I was a part of this!’ When I watch the Avengers, I want to be a part of it. I want to be Tony Stark/Iron Man. The same way, we are trying to create a world for them.”
Unbelievable, right? Well, looks like producer Karan Johar is also infected with the same virus as the actor. KJo proudly shared the box office collection of SOTY 2 on Instagram today and implied that the film has made a mark with the audience. His revelation came as a shock to the followers.
