Comedian Kapil Sharma and wife Ginni Chatrath’s big day is finally here. The couple just announced the birth of their second child and *drum rolls* it’s a boy!
On Monday morning, Kapil took to social media to share the happy news and informed his fans that the mother and child are doing well. He also took a moment to thank all his fans for their love and blessings. “Namaskaar Folded hands we are blessed with a Baby boy this early morning, by the grace of God Baby n Mother both r fine, thank you so much for all the love, blessings n prayers, love you all Ginni n Kapil #gratitude,” read his tweet.
Following his tweet, social media was flooded with congratulatory messages from his fans and celebrities alike, which included co-star Kiku Sharda and actor Ritesh Deshmukh, Suniel Shetty and cricketer Suresh Raina.
Earlier, responding to a fan question on Twitter, the comedian had confirmed that The Kapil Sharma Show will be going off-air. Kapil said that he was getting ready to welcome a new member in the family. He further shared that it would only be a small break as he wanted to be home with his wife to prepare for the second baby.
Kapil and Ginni tied the knot in December 2018. The couple welcomed a baby girl a year later in December 2019.

Speaking to a leading daily last year, Kapil had revealed that he spent the entire lockdown playing with his daughter Anayra. “I told Ginni to consider the lockdown a blessing in disguise, as it will allow us to work out religiously. But it’s been 14 days and I haven’t worked out at all. Saara din baby ke saath khelta rehta hoon aur khaata rehta hoon,” said the comedian.
On the work front, Kapil Sharma will be seen in SonyLIV’s Dadi Ki Shaadi. The comedian is also set to team up with the OTT platform Netflix India for a project that has been kept under wraps.
