Imran Khan became a young heartthrob with his debut in the popular movie, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. He soon broke a million hearts when he tied the knot with his childhood sweetheart, Avantika Malik. Imran and Avantika had a dreamy love story. He proposed to his lady love in a full-blown Bollywood style romance. He sneaked into her house at night and decorated it, and proposed to her when she woke up in the morning. After the beautiful proposal, the lovebirds got married in January 2011, and Avantika gave birth to their daughter, Imara, in 2014.
Imran Khan is a doting daddy to daughter Imara. A few months ago, Avantika shared an adorable picture of the two and captioned it, “MELT #imaluckygirl’. Isn’t she absolutely adorable?”
From the looks of it, Imran and Avantika have had a happy married life, but if reports are to be believed, the couple has hit a rough patch in their marriage.
Imran Khan has been MIA from the big screen for quite some time now and it seems that all is not well in his personal life. After eight years of marriage, speculations are doing rounds that the two of them have taken a break in their marriage, reportedly due to irreconcilable differences.
An anonymous source told a leading daily, “Avantika allegedly left 24, Pali Hill, Imran’s residence, a while ago with Imara. It is being said that she is currently staying with her family.” The report also claimed that families and friends are trying to see how things can be worked out between the couple. This was a major bummer for all their fans, as Imran and Avantika have been one of the happiest couples in B-town.
According to the grapevine, Imara has been seen posting pictures of herself and Imara, but Imran is nowhere to be seen. The couple has refused to comment on the rumours and has still not released a statement.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Imran was last seen in Katti Batti, opposite Kangana Ranaut in 2015. The Nikhil Advani directorial opened to mixed response and didn’t really work for Imran’s career. The actor is reportedly said to be donning the director’s hat for his upcoming short film Mission Mars: Keep Walking India.
