Hina Khan, the reigning queen of the Indian TV industry played the most loved bahu, Akshara in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai for eight long years. And ever since she quit the show, the actress has been on a roll. Hina also won hearts when she recreated Urvashi Dholakia’s beloved character, Komolika in Ekta Kapoor’s Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2. TRPs of the show experienced a downward slope when she announced her exit from the show to pursue her big Bollywood dream.
Hina will now be seen in Vikram Bhatt’s directorial titled, Hacked. We recently learned that the TV actor Rohan Shah, who is widely known for his role as Agham Neil Khanna in Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyaar and as Kaal from Krissh 3 will be her co-star. Reportedly, the film will begin rolling from August 20.
A source close to a media portal revealed, “Vikram was convinced that Rohan is the guy he wants when he met him for the first time. The story is primarily about Shah’s love for an older girl and how it transforms into an obsession and social media has a major part to play in this fixation.”
Rohan, who confirmed the news revealed, “I’m really excited to play this character. I have never played such a role or seen such an intense character onscreen in a long time. My character is primarily the reason behind all the twists in the film, so it’s like a dream come true for an actor. “
Earlier, in an interview with a leading daily, Hina opened up about working with Vikram. She said, “Vikram is a wonderful narrator and a person. We had a long chat about the film and we were clear about what to expect. I love the concept of the film and even heard some of the music, which is mind-blowing. And he is excited and keen about having me on board, which boots my morale. I feel lucky to have got this film.”
This isn’t the only film in her kitty. Hina will also be seen in a film called Lines, which is based on the Kargil War, directed by Hussein Khan. The film also stars Farida Jalal and Rishi Bhutani.
