If there’s anyone who knows hair it’s Jen Atkin. The entrepreneur and celebrity hairstylist has been the force behind some of the biggest names in Hollywood as well as the fashion week ramp. From being the mastermind behind all the Kardashian and Jenner siblings’ tresses to blessing the Hadid sisters and Hailey Beiber with her magical touch, she has set her name in stone in the beauty industry.
She runs her own website which is dedicated to the A-Z of hair. From styling tips and maintaining tips to hacks and remedies for healthy hair, she gives you all the details. She even launched her own brand Ouai in 2016 as a haircare brand but has now expanded to perfumes and body range as well.
The brand became so popular as soon as it launched that the internet blew up with praises. Most products sold out in days with people desperate to try the much raved about brand. Of course, the multiple shout outs from her celebrity posse surely must have helped!
Now, the hair guru has just announced that she is going to be a published author too. Taking to Instagram, Jen revealed the extremely suggestive title of her book ‘Blowing My Way to the Top‘.
She captioned the post, “They said I could call it whatever I want…sorry Mom! 🤷🏻♀️” Well, we love a good tongue-in-cheek moment, don’t we?
The cover of the book has the boss lady herself blow-drying her hair in a power pantsuit talking about how she made her way to the very top.
Friends and celerities jumped with glee in the comments section of the post, sending all their love to the hairstylist.
Fans too showed their excitement and support for the book and the title of course! Mindy Kaling wrote, “Eeeeeeek! I’m so excited! What a great title too! I hope I’m referenced as a ‘difficult Indian actress.”

The book itself is a part memoir and part self-help book. It chronicles her journey as an entrepreneur and shares the learnings she’s picked up along the way. It may not have advice on hair styling tips instead holds a plethora of information on how she ran her business on core feminist values, befriended her competition, and used social media as a powerful tool to spread her message. TBH, I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy cause I sure as hell want to know Jen’s secret to success in this otherwise close-knit industry.
