The ninth season of Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi was certainly one of the most exciting seasons. This stunt-based reality show, hosted by action king Rohit Shetty, gave the viewers a good dose of adrenaline rush with amazing stunts. As the show aired its grand finale on Sunday evening, we couldn’t keep calm as choreographer Punit J Pathak bagged the trophy of Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 9!
Based on the theme Jiggar Pe Trigger, it saw an interesting mix of celebrity participants like S. Sreesanth, Shamita Shetty, Vikas Gupta, Bharti Singh with husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa, Ridhima Pandit and Aditya Narayan among others. While the winner Punit took home prize money of Rs 20 lakh and a Maruti Suzuki Swift car, singer-actor Aditya Narayan emerged as the first runner-up of the show.

The grand finale saw some of the most dangerous and challenging tasks of the season. Defeating Aditya, Punit nailed all of them completely. However, both, Punit and Aditya had quite an interesting and impressive journey on the show together. In a recent interview, Aditya talked about their strong bond and how they remained each other’s constant source of motivation. “I genuinely believed that we complimented each other and pushed each other. We didn’t have to say it out loud. Both of us outdid ourselves in stunts and it made others want to perform better than us in certain stunts.”

The duo had single-handedly won several stunts and emerged as two of the strongest contestants on the show. When Aditya was out of action for a couple of weeks and advised to take rest by the doctors, Punit had stepped in and performed all the tasks on his behalf. Aditya expressed that his respect for Punit had, therefore, increased. “He could have gotten me eliminated easily but he played really well,” he said.
The grand finale also saw Akshay Kumar, Shankar Mahadevan, Neeti Mohan and Diljit Dosanjh as guests. Akshay had even performed a dangerous, nail-biting stunt wherein he was chased by a truck whilst attempting to cross several other burning cars. And this lead to a flaming end to an exciting show!

A few days ago, we also saw the popular television producer/anchor, Vikas Gupta getting disqualified from the show for taking painkillers due to his shoulder injury – without informing the makers of the show. Hence, he was eliminated despite being a tough and headstrong competitor.
