They say that marriages are made in heaven…and sometimes you come across some couples who make you believe in those words. Designer Sonaakshi Raaj and restaurateur Nikhil Merani, who got engaged last year are now man and wife. The couple tied the knot in a grand wedding ceremony in Avani Hua Hin in Thailand and it was nothing less than a dream.
Sonaakshi had a star-studded cocktail night with friends from tinsel town dancing the night away. Sonaakshi wore a self-designed red embellished gown and completed her look with minimal makeup. We love her diamond earrings and all we can say is *nazar na lage*. The man of her dreams, Nikhil, too, looked dapper in a blue velvet bow-tie suit.
On January 29, the couple hosted a dhol function and mehendi function in Thailand, and they both looked oh-so-in love.
For her mehendi, she again chose to a self-designed outfit and looked gorgeous. She wore a mint polychrome fruity palette lehenga with off shoulder tassel choli. Sonaakshi opted for a maangtikaa and earrings, while ditching a neckpiece.

At their dhol function, Sonaakshi again relied on her friend and designer Mohsin, who dolled her up in another sharara. She went for a peplum kurta with this one, unlike her Mata Ki Chowki look.

Sonaakshi Raaj and Nikhil Merani got married in a grand ceremony on January 30 and are all set to start their happily ever after. Sonaakshi wore a customised light pink lehenga from Sonaakshi Raaj’s couture collection and looked radiant.
