And now, DeepVeer have continued that trend at their Bengaluru reception as well.

The two have chosen to have a socially-conscious, and eco-friendly, reception in Bengaluru today by opting to serve food in biodegradable tableware. With this gesture, DeepVeer have shown that their commitment towards protecting nature is just as strong as their commitment towards each other.
The newlyweds have chosen tableware products that are made from sugarcane fibre instead of the usual plastic and styrofoam plates. What’s the benefit? These sugarcane products have been known to decompose within 60-90 days whereas plastic may take upwards of 500 years. CHUK, an eco-friendly tableware manufacturer, will be supplying around 75,000 units of its products for the wedding reception.
In a country like India, where the use of single-use plastic is in abundance, high-profile influencers like DeepVeer have been leading the way in their efforts towards reducing waste. The couple famously announced a ‘no gifts policy’ for their Mumbai reception, and have instead asked their guests to make donations to an NGO run by Deepika.
The couple has chosen The Leela Palace Hotel for the Bengaluru reception and the guest list reportedly includes the Padukone family’s close friends, members from the sports fraternity, and a few people from Ranveer’s inner circle. According to reports, the reception would serve a south-Indian menu, and both Deepika and Ranveer are expected to wear Sabyasachi outfits.
