Sanjay Leela Bhansali has brought Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh together in three movies, Ramleela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat, much to their fans delight. Unfortunately, in all these films, the demand of the script called for ‘a separation’ and they left the audience with tears in their eyes. However, the two may have a happy inning in their next movie together.
Ranveer Singh has already been signed for Kapil Dev’s biopic 83 and as per the report of a leading daily, the role of Kapil Dev’s wife has been offered to Deepika Padukone.
We still don’t have a release date for the biopic, but the release would be scheduled somewhere in 2020. Helmed by Kabir Khan, the film will revolve around the 1983 world cup. A source in the report revealed, “Her role requires just seven days of shooting. The filmmakers believe the part where Romi Bhatia left the stadium mid-way assuming that West Indies will win the 1983 World Cup final, and the difficulties she encountered in coming back into the stadium when India was on the verge of winning, can be well emoted by Deepika.”
We are still waiting for the news of Deepika’s confirmation on the role, but we can just imagine how beautiful it would be to see Ranveer and Deepika finally meet in the climax of a film.

In other news, after returning from their honeymoon in Sri Lanka, Deepika was spotted wearing a necklace gifted by dear husband. The couple flew to New York to celebrate the New Year and then to Sri Lanka for their honeymoon. Their Sri Lanka visit clashed with Deepika’s first birthday after marriage (on January 5th, 2019) and looks like Ranveer gifted this beautiful piece of jewellery to his lady.

Deepika is currently working on another biopic, based on acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal opposite Vikrant Massey. On the other hand, Ranveer is riding the success wave of Simmba and promoting his upcoming movie, Gully Boy.
