Until a while ago, the general complaint remained that no matter how epic the wedding is, the couple who’s getting married generally misses out on the fun. However, this has changed drastically in recent years. From opting for fuss-free outfits to throwing fun pre-wedding parties, couples are making the most of their wedding festivities and finding ways to have one hell of a time. After all, if you aren’t enjoying your own shaadi then what even is the point?
Remember how celebrity blogger Masoom Minawala legit threw a holi party on her haldi? Well, we just stumbled upon a couple that had an equally fun haldi ceremony. Roopal Chopra and Ankush Malde recently tied the knot in a vibrant Rajasthani ceremony. And their haldi video is easily one of the most fun haldis that we have ever watched. The memo was simple: go wild or go home! Great fun and a lot of madness ensued and here’s everything that we are loving about this fun couple.
Two States And All That Fun
Roopal Chopra
This couple’s story started almost a decade ago when they first met in college. Roopal, a quintessential Rajasthani girl bonded with Ankush, a proper gujju, over their love for South Indian food. Yep, it’s as bonkers as it sounds! Of course, the wedding was going to be all things fun and the two went all out at the haldi ceremony.
The bride explains, “We knew it was going to be mad but we didn’t know it was going to be THIS MUCH fun. Ten minutes into the ceremony and we were already covered in heap loads of haldi. Trust me, you haven’t played even holi that wild! And don’t even get me started on how long it actually took to get all that haldi off my skin and hair. I think I walked the aisle looking a little yellow!”
Just watch this video and you’d understand what we are talking about:
In fact, Roopal prioritised the fun over the finery and thus, opted for an extremely breezy and light lehenga from Label Kanupriya for her haldi ceremony. Every bit vibrant, the skirt of her lehenga featured lime green and yellow panels. The intricate zardozi motifs on the blouse really did make the look pop.

But How Much Fun Is Too Much Fun?
Roopal further shares that the masti didn’t just end with the haldi ceremony and had great fun on the wedding day as well. “I have heard so many brides talking about feeling all jittery and nervous on their wedding day. Well, we were literally cracking jokes while walking the aisle, pounced on the food as soon as we could get a chance, and kept giggling throughout the ceremony like we were high. I guess that is what happens when crazy meets crazy.”
Here’s a pic of them walking the aisle while casually chatting and sharing internal jokes:

Can we please take a moment here and admire the bride’s gorgeous red-white lehenga and just how breezy it looks? So gorgeous! Also, gotta give it to her for keeping it so natural in the makeup department and going for a minimal base.
We’d have to say: this couple really have taught us how to have fun at your own wedding!
