Shocked & Speechless: Bollywood & Sports Fraternity Mourn Sushant Singh Rajput’s Death

It is a dark dark day for the country as we mourn the sudden demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who allegedly died from suicide in his Bandra apartment today. It is shocking, unsettlingly shocking! But more than that it’s hard, really hard to equate that bright, beautiful smile with the thought of death. The two somehow don’t add up and yet a star is gone, gone too soon.

Earlier today, Sushant was found hanging in his Bandra home. The police are still looking into the matter. Meanwhile, his friends and colleagues remain deeply shocked and are still trying to grasp the haunting truth and how all of it transpired all of a sudden.

Phenomenally talented and all of 34, Sushant has indeed left a dark, gnawing gap behind. And besides that a legacy, the proof of which can be derived from how both the cinema as well as sports fraternity is both deeply saddened by his shocking demise. It was his portrayal of Mahendra Singh Dhoni in MS Dhoni that won the actor many accolades, awards, and hearts.

Soon after the news of Sushant’s death shocked the nation, his small and silver screen colleagues, sports celebs, and politicians all took to social media to express their disbelief and grief. Here’s what they had to say:
