Sushmita Sen has welcomed sister-in-law Charu Asopa with open arms and a lot of love. Rajeev Sen and Charu got married on June 7 in court. Recently, Charu wrote the sweetest caption on Instagram, thanking sister-in-law Sushmita.
“Every girl has a dream to see herself as a Bride, thank you Didi for making this dream come true so beautifully..! @sushmitasen47 Love you so much❤️,” she shared the note along with gorgeous pictures of herself dressed in her bridal ensemble.
While Sushmita dressed up Charu for her big day, the Asopa family too gifted the Main Hoon Na actress an attire to wear on the wedding. Rajeev and Charu had a white wedding on June 16 at the Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Goa followed by a Bengali wedding on June 17.
Sushmita was super excited for the wedding. She also wrote a letter to the lovebirds ahead of their wedding saying, “Dear Charu and Rajeev, Congratulations on your wedding day! A moment and memory I will cherish forever. Here’s to your happiness and prosperity together.”

Earlier in an interview with a leading daily, Charu had spoken about her camaraderie with her then soon-to-be-nanad, Sushmita. She had stated, “You won’t believe that I impersonated Sushmita Sen when she has crowned Miss Universe at a fancy dress competition in my school. I was very young then. I showed her the picture and she said that I looked adorable in it (smiles). Imagine the stroke of luck, she will be my sister-in-law soon. She told us to never sleep over a fight, and resolve our differences without any delay. Of course, like any other couple, Rajeev and I, too, have our share of fights, but we also resolve it in no time. He is very mature. We respect each other and we are good friends before anything else. Sushmita didi told me that jab aap bohot comfortable ho jaate ho kisi ke saath then you should know that he is the right guy for you. In my case, it’s Rajeev, because we are extremely comfortable with each other.”
While Charu is all praise for Sushmita, we also can’t forget the graceful number Sushmita pulled on their wedding. She danced on everyone’s favourite shaadi song, Nachde Ne Saare with beau Rohman Shawl, her younger daughter Alisah and other family members.
