Isha Ambani’s pre-wedding ceremony in Udaipur looked like it had more performances than all the Bollywood award shows combined. All the A-listers of Bollywood were seen on the stage from Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Katrina Kaif – the list was never-ending!
It’s not rare for some of Tinseltown’s biggest names to perform at private parties and demand a hefty fee for it. However, from what we hear, all these superstars apparently performed out of love for the Ambanis and did not charge anything for their performances at the sangeet.
As we were left star-struck by the utter lavishness of the sangeet, we can’t help but wonder – how much it would have cost had all these Bollywood celebrities had charged for the show?
1. Gauri & Shah Rukh Khan: Rs 7-8 crores

You need a lot of zeros on the chequebook to have the ‘Badshah Of Bollywood’ perform at your wedding. The actor reportedly charges between Rs 7-8 crores to perform at a wedding, while a brief appearance may cost around Rs 3 crores. Meanwhile, Gauri has also stepped up and started charging a reasonable amount for her commercials lately.
2. Salman Khan: Rs 3.5 crores

Bhai is another actor who is in high demand to perform at weddings. Salman apparently charges about Rs 1.5-2 crores for an appearance. However, you will need to shell out upwards of Rs 3.5 crore if you want to see his signature Dabangg step on stage at your sangeet.
3. Katrina Kaif: Rs 2.5 crores

Katrina reportedly charges around Rs 2.5 crores to shake a leg at a wedding and Rs 1 crore to just show up at the ceremony.
4. Priyanka Chopra Jonas: Rs 2.5 crores

The Quantico star reportedly used to charge around Rs 2.5 crores to perform at a wedding. However, a leading daily reported that PCJ took home an eye-watering Rs 10 crore for a 10-minute performance. That’s nearly Rs 1.7 lacs per minute for our Desi Girl!
5. Ranbir Kapoor: Rs 2-4 crores
Ranbir doesn’t show up at many weddings, but when he does it makes for a million-dollar moment – quite literally. According to reports from a year earlier, the Sanju actor takes home somewhere between Rs 2-4 crores for a private appearance to perform at a wedding.
6. Varun Dhawan: Rs 6 crores
The Judwaa 2 actor’s demand has skyrocketed over the last few years after a string of hits. Last we heard, Varun Dhawan was paid around Rs 6 crores from his happening performance at the opening ceremony of the 2018 Indian Premier League – the highest among all other celebs at the show.
7. Karan Johar: Rs 1-2 crores
Karan was a surprise performer on stage at the Ambani’s sangeet when he danced with bride Isha Ambani. The Koffee With Karan host reportedly charged Rs 10 crore as one of the judges on the show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa since 2012. The filmmaker takes somewhere between Rs 1-2 crores for his performance.
8. Aamir Khan: Not Known

The Thugs Of Hindostan actor rarely makes an appearance at award shows and other functions, so it is not clear how much he charges for a private performance. Recently, Aamir also came out to say he does not charge a set fee for the movies he does. Instead, his final payment depends on how good or bad the film does commercially. So, we are still left wondering how much would he have levied at the sangeet had he been charging the Ambanis.
9. Aishwarya Rai & Abhishek Bachchan: Not Known
Aishwarya is among the highest paid actresses in Bollywood today, with the Fanney Khan star levying Rs 10 crores per film. While hubby Abhishek’s exact fees per movie are not known, the actor is a smart investor, capitalising on investments in football clubs, advertisements and even Bitcoins. Rest assured, the Bachchan’s would have charged a hefty, but calculated, amount for their performance at the Ambani sangeet.
10. Beyoncé

Queen B stole the show at the Ambani sangeet and it was no hidden fact that the singer was paid around US$2-3 million or Rs 14-21 crores for her electrifying performance.
So if you dream of getting all these celebrities to your sangeet, it would cost you somewhere between Rs 45-58 crores!
All in all, Mukesh Ambani – India’s richest person – is sparing no expense in making this wedding one to remember for the entire country, if not the world. According to reports, the entire week-long extravaganza for the Ambani wedding is set to reach US$100 million or Rs 719 crores in costs. This includes the 100 charter planes used to fly the guests in at Udaipur, the luxury cars to ferry them around during the sangeet, the two five-star hotels booked for the sangeet as well as the wedding in Mumbai.
While Udaipur saw the pre-wedding ceremonies and an exhaustive list of national and international celebrities, the party is all set to begin in Mumbai next. Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal are all set to tie the knot in the city tomorrow, in what is expected to be one of the most glamorous weddings of the year.
