The recent Pulwama terror attack in Kashmir claimed the lives of 40 Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans on February 14th. The attack was carried out by terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Mohammad. In retaliation, the Indian Air Force’s Mirage 2000 jets crossed the Line Of Control and destroyed a terror camp in Balakot in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at 3.30 am on Tuesday morning.
In an official statement, the Indian government said that the terrorist group was planning another attack on India, and in the surgical strike last night, the terror camp was destroyed, but no civilians were harmed. Meanwhile, the government of Pakistan has denied all claims of damage or casualties. Pakistan has called the violation of the LoC a grave act of aggression by India.
