Actress Surveen Chawla has added to the festive cheer by sharing a good news with her fans. The Sacred Games actress announced that she and husband Akshay Thakker are expecting their first child in April next year.
Surveen posted a picture on Instagram that had a pair of booties and a framed photograph of the parents-to-be. She wrote, “Life happens when it chooses to happen, when it wants to happen. And it is happening right now in this very moment, making our blessed and beautiful world even more blessed than what it already is! Yes, there is a miracle taking place, a miracle called life! And we are growing by two little teeny-weeny feet!!”

Surveen is no stranger to making surprise announcements. A few months ago, Surveen revealed that she has been married to businessman Akshay Thakker for two years. The couple had a quiet ceremony in Italy, far from the shutterbugs.
Speaking to a news outlet, the Kahiin To Hoga star said that she is expected to deliver the baby in April. She added that although she was a bit surprised when she found out she was pregnant, but added that it was a wonderful feeling. “Motherhood, to me, is a feeling that grows on you, with the growing life inside you,” Surveen was quoted. “I think just the fact that women are designed to grow a whole being inside them is a far more superior feeling.”
Surveen also spoke about how being pregnant would just make her stronger and not impact her career. She mentioned that society should stop making a big deal about a woman becoming a mother and it having a negative impact on her work. “The day this question is asked to a man who embraces fatherhood, I will answer this one elaborately”, the actress added.
Surveen’s news has added more sparkle to an already glittering festive season in Tinseltown. Deepika-Ranveer’s wedding is a few days away, while Priyanka Chopra is also expected to walk down the aisle with Nick Jonas later this year. Moreover, Karan Johar has spilled the beans on Malaika Arora’s rumoured relationship with Arjun Kapoor (they are heading there soon as well).
