Student Of The Year 2 actress Tara Sutaria is on a roll. After giving us a bang-on look at Malaika Arora’s birthday bash last week, the actress has stunned us with her desi style this weekend. At Amitabh Bachchan’s Diwali party on Sunday night, Tara wore the oh-so-popular Manish Malhotra saree that has become emblematic of the Manish Malhotra World. Four different Bollywood divas have flaunted the saree in four different colours and there’s no stopping them.
Way 1: Tara Sutaria
Tara wore the sequin saree in taupe and it’s safe to say that we have never wanted a colour more. Sharing custody between the brown and grey family, taupe is a colour rarely seen in a festive setting. Not anymore! Check out Tara’s pictures in the outfit that has us reconsidering the ‘Hottest Girl In The World’ title.
Dear Priyanka Chopra, our OG desi girl, you got competition!
Tara completed the look with a layered necklace by Goenka India and rings by Renu Oberoi Jewellery. A gold-toned clutch purse and a pair of slim heels were all she needed to get Diwali-ready.
Rumour has it, Tara is dating Aadar Jain, a cousin of Karisma, Kareena and Ranbir Kapoor. The alleged lovebirds were spotted together at Malaika’s 46th birthday party, and again at Big B’s Diwali party over the weekend. Look, look:
But there’s something juicier than this gossip that has us fangirling over Tara – her blouse design in this look! Tara paired the shiny saree with a satin but matte-finish blouse, balancing the whole look FTW. The blouse, or should we say bralette, had regular straps, a thick band under the bust for support and a V-shaped plunging neckline that she flaunted oh-so-tastefully. We’re impressed by the risque look, you pulled off Tara. And just in time for the upcoming wedding season.
Here’s how other celebrities styled the saree giving us all kinds of blouse design inspiration this festive season. Brace yourself for one saree in four ways:
Way 2: Kareena Kapoor Khan
Kareena styled her pink saree with a matching bralette as well. While Tara’s was in a matte finish, Bebo went the glossy metallic way. Like Tara, she completed the look with a layered necklace as well, but with a totally offbeat (read tropical) vibe.
Way 3: Karisma Kapoor
Karisma here gave us #CocktailDressingGoals by pairing her black saree with a backless and cut-out blouse in satin and velvet finish. The actress kept the drama under control by accessorising with a pair of diamond studs and nothing more. She even tied her hair in a stylised bun.
Way 4: Natasha Poonawalla
Natasha, a socialite and philanthropist, gave her mint green saree a festive look by teaming it with a solid green halter neck blouse in velvet. Different, no? Unlike others, she went big on jewels with a statement necklace and earrings set in shades of gold and green. This look is perfect for those who love OTT everything!
So, which sequin saree style did you like the most?
